Pastor Kenneth Norrington is a native of Newton County.  He is a 1974 graduate of Newton County High School.  He attended West Georgia College, and he graduated from Emory University at Candler School of Theology Course of Study in 2012.  

 

Prior to his ministry, Rev. Norrington worked in the corporate sector as a departmental manager with the Rotation Dynamics Company for 18 years. He also ran his own business for 11 years.  Rev. Norrington heeded a call he first heard as a child, and entered the ministry in 1993, and was led to begin a street ministry that same year called,

"The New Beginning Faith Ministry." 

 

After answering God’s call to ministry, he served from 1993-1997 as the Youth Minister at Richard's Chapel United Methodist Church.  He was appointed in 1998 as Pastor In Charge of Union Grove & Gaithers Chapel United Methodist Churches.

 

Pastor Norrington is married to the former Michelle Crystal of Chicago, IL. and they have four children and six grandchildren.

 

Ken as he is affectionately called by family and friends, loves singing, fishing, horseshoes, playing cards and cooking out.  But most of all he loves the Lord, and his favorite Scripture is Matthew 6:33, "...But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
