 Born Chicago IL, Pastor Jeffery Briggs, grew up on the South Side of Chicago.  He has been in ministry 19 years, and has pastored three churches in the ÂME Zion Movement.  To Pastor Briggs' credit, he is agraduate of ITC seminary in Atlanta, attended Luther Rice Seminary, attended Open Bible College Seminary in SC, and he attended Ashford University, where he specialized in Street Ministry and Gang and Jail Ministry.  He was also the Director of Evangelism for the Conyers Branch of the ÂME Zion Church Georgia Conference from 2010 - 2011.  In 2012, Pastor Briggs felt the unction to start a new chapter in his life and join the Baptist Movement, where he is now serving in his third year as Senior Pastor of Summer Hill.  However, the road hasn't always been easy for Pastor Briggs, for a part of his testimony is that he had a tough time in his early life growing up in Chicago.  This is why his heart is so geared to help many people that have been incarcerated make a new and better life for themselves.  Pastor Briggs wants them to have a "Fresh Start".  His vision: "My vision is to make disciples of Christ and reach all people that society says there is no hope for".
